Monthly Recap.png

HELLO LOVELY READERS

My vacation has come and gone, and we are off into June. I can hardly believe it.

Mainly I am catching up right now :) Please be kind with me as I am trying to get back into the swing of things with blogging. I am BEHIND in reviews etc.

I will be posting a vacation recap since some of you have asked me about it. You can also take a peek at my Instagram in the meantime, a few pics are there as well :)

For my vacation I mainly wanted to unplug and read, read, read. I did do some of that, but only on my flights to and from location. All other reading time while visiting with friends and family totaled only 3 hours. I KNOW!!! I was in high demand having last visited 7 years ago, so I can’t be mad at it at all :) Luckily I was able to catch up on many hours of flying and finished the big one: MALICE by John Gwynne.

So, here is my itty bitty May of reading:

1,999 PAGES READ

38/80 GOODREADS CHALLENGE 2019

Goodreads

Adult Fiction

Young Adult Fiction

Currently Reading

City of Lies by Sam Hawke is one of the books I took on vacation and I am still finishing it up. I am loving it so far :)

Lolita by Vladimire Nabokov has been on my tbr for a long time. When I saw it come up as a group read on Goodreads with the List Completists, I had to jump in. Really looking forward to reading it.

Belonging by Nora Krug, I picked this up on a whim, and it is really good so far. I can’t speak for the whole book yet, but I can relate to the struggles of living in two countries and the misconceptions/misgivings and historical burdens upon one’s own reflections of belonging and experiences.

Best of 2019 so far

I need to make a tab for older treasures I am discovering this year. I purposefully slowed down requesting on Netgalley so I can make time for my tbr. It has been amazing. Trying to balance ARCs and TBR :)

That’s all for May

A vacation post will be coming up soon :)

Happy reading in June :)
